Update Comments for Better Team Communication

A Central part of Lobster’s user interface is the Update Comment. Update comments will help your team members communicate the progress being made. 

The comments you write will be visible to your team members in the notifications menu, notification emails, and in the weekly email digest.

How do Update Comments work?

Every time you edit and save something in Lobster,  the Update Comment form will pop up at the bottom of your screen. 

You can react to it in three ways:

  • Add a comment to the notification. Do this if you feel you can provide relevant information to your team about the action you just completed.
  • If you feel that the notification is relevant, but have nothing to add, then click Add or press ENTER.
  • If you feel that the notification is irrelevant to your team, then delete it. Just click the delete icon on the top right corner of the comment form or simply press ESC.
